How to use the extension.

1. Install

Install Auto Website Translator from Chrome Web Store and pin it near the address bar.

2. Open a website

Open a website or web app with English interface text.

3. Translate the page

Open the extension popup and click Translate site. The extension scans visible text and translates menus, buttons, popups, forms, and short phrases.

4. Translate selected text

Select text on a page and click Translate selection. If auto-selection translation is enabled, the selected phrase can be translated immediately.

5. Use auto-translate

Enable auto-translate to translate newly opened websites automatically. The extension can also detect new interface text that appears after hovering, clicking, scrolling, or opening popups.

Limitations

• The extension works inside Chrome, not inside native Mac or Windows desktop applications.
• Text inside images, videos, screenshots, and canvas elements may not be translated.
• Chrome system pages and protected browser pages may block extension access.

Quick instruction

Install the extension, open an English website, and click Translate site. To translate one word or phrase, select text and click Translate selection.
